Here's a handful of examples of photo work that I've already
done for myself, showcasing my skills. I picked out three old family
photos that I put on an A4 flatbed scanner. The images are shown
much smaller than the final hi-res files, which were suitable for
printing at reasonable size. Click on the thumbnails for medium-sized
versions.

This picture was a bit of a
mess! There were a number of tears across it, including areas
of important detail, and all sorts of yellow marks including
fingerprints! It took just over an hour to restore it to good
health. |

In general this photo wasn't
too bad, but there was a nasty fold down the centre and a fair
bit of dust and hairs, and more significantly a fair chunk torn
off the top through someone's head! I managed to rebuild him
and also touch up the imperfections in the rest of the picture. |

This old photo was in good
physical shape but was rather faded. I had to adjust the brightness
and contrast levels to bring out the detail. |

This was an extremely faded
photo, which to the naked eye was even less visible than the
first image shown here! The challenge here was to bring out
the subtle details. The large crack down the right-hand side
was removed, and a few more minor blemishes eliminated. |

This final photo was fine for
brightness etc, but was covered in scratches, which had to be
removed. The brightness difference due to the frame (seen as
a lighter border in the left image) was also minimised. |
